I've had these at my office for a little over a year now. I've owned Klipsch speakers in the past, never computer but home audio. Typically just playing classical music on them at an office volume. The left speaker rattles like a blown speaker, and unfortunately right after the manufacturers warranty expired. I think I just got a poorly constructed pair. I probably would not purchase these again.
Just as expected, decent sound, can play at fairly high volume. For its price range it is probably the best in class (certainly that I've heard, though, I'm no audio guy). It's possible some subwoofer including speaker may play louder or deeper bass, but I've had major issues with the cable connecting the satellites to the subwoofer falling out and making unbearable noises, so I refuse to buy any that aren't in the high end.Anyway, this speaker has performed like new for about 6 months with no issues and is still going strong.
They put out a surprising amount of bass for their size, but I guess that is a primary design criteria for all consumer speakers today. This rating is based on accuracy plus factoring in size and cost. I operate them near minimal bass gain; otherwise they would be too muddy for my taste. They sound unobtrusive at low volumes and actually quite good at moderate volumes, so they work quite well for my needs. I bought these refurbished for use at my cubicle at work. I use them with either [.].or my ipod. I generally listen to decent quality studio monitors at home, bi-amped with eight inch woofers and a dome tweeter, so I don't go for that "happy face" equalization. I prefer accuracy to visceral sensation, and while these may lack some high end definition, they are fine for non-critical listening.
These speakers are wonderful. The bass is perfect, mid-range beyond my expectations.would have never known they were reconditioned.Highly recommend these Klipsch speakers.
They got here quickly, and were in absolutely perfect condition. What a boost they've given to my computer. These speakers put my old Yamaha set to shame. I can even park them in an open window while I am outside gardening, and enjoy my music with excellent fidelity. These are supposedly refurbished; they must have been pulled form the assembly line for rework because they are flawless.
